About John McClean - Owner Of Irish Roofing Company
Born and raised in Newcastle, County Downs, Ireland. Brought up on a small farm but in a large family of seven uncles and a grandfather who were all in construction taught John the same trade at the age of 10 years old. John's childhood consisted of working on the farm and in construction (mostly roofing) after school, on the weekends, and on holidays. At the age of 18, John wanted to see and travel the world. He Joined the Irish Defence Forces and served overseas in South Lebanon with The United Nations Peace Keeping for 7 years. After serving, he went back into construction in 2005, in Dublin, Ireland. He became Project Manager with Fitzsimons Construction. John then found himself in London, England 2011 where he landed a job with JJ Rhatigan & Company Building Contractors as Senior Project Manager for multimillion dollar projects.
John set out to fulfill his American dream to make something for himself, he had a vision and a goal, and came to America in 2013. He worked for Emerson Construction and Interior Design. He landed a job in 2015 as Senior Project Manager for Pro West Restoration. Once that job was complete in 2017 John was given the position as Vice President in commercial roofing with Multi Pro Roof Solutions.
In October of 2018, FEMA was called to action for emergency relief after the devastating hurricane Michael had destroyed thousands of homes. John went out to Panama City, Florida and saw an opportunity to help those in crisis and offer his services working as a FEMA contractor which led to working on Tyndall Air Force Base and running the sales team for Shield Roofing Company. Working with the most elite and high celebrity profiles for fourteen years. John's ambition is not only to provide his clients the best professional working relationship.
John, coming from humble beginnings, both in Ireland and America, has always found himself giving back to his community. You will always find John every Friday morning at the St. Vincent de Paul shelter or volunteering at the Salvation Army. His hobbies are golfing, learning the ins and outs as a new father to his newborn son, Liam, and playing soccer with his stepsons, Jonah and Benjamin. John believes the best part of the day is sitting down and having dinner with the family.
